    iMapBuilder maps software is an user-friendly, map making software. iMapBuilder has a desktop version for Windows, and a web-app version which runs in browsers on Windows, Mac OS and Linunx

    iMapBuilder comes with a built-in map templates gallery. You can also import your own photo/ images. This enables easy creation of interactive image maps for a wide variety of applications. For example, real estate map or branch office locator. Map creation and editing is easy using iMapBuilder, no any programming skills or additional flash editing software is required.
  2. What maps does iMapBuilder map software support?
    In current version, iMapbuilder includes the following maps:

    - US Map, US County Maps
    - Europe Map
    - France Map, German Map

  3. How to create map with flash using iMapbuilder? Do I need any programming knowledge?
    One of the greatest advantages of iMapBuilder is that you don't need to have any technical knowledge what so ever. You will be able create your customized Flash maps in a matter of few clicks.

    No programming or Actionscript knowledge is required. Simply use the iMapBuilder map wizard to select a map template, edit the map using few mouse clicks, and you will have a interactive map ready to use with your color settings, text, and links. It is as easy as using your word processing software.
  4. Who should use iMapBuilder software?
    iMapBuilder is designed for both amateur and professional web designers. No programming knowledge is required. At this moment iMapBuilder desktop version is only available on Windows platform. If you are a Mac or <>Linux user, you can consider our iMapBuilder Online - Web App version

    For professional users who have the needed technical knowledge: all iMapBuilder flash map use standard XML file to store interactive map settings. PHP and MYSQL can be used to change the map settings via XML dynamically. Please contact us to discuss further customization options.
  5. Can I import my own map image to make an interactive map, instead of using your map templates?
    Yes you can import any GIF, JPG or PNG images, and use iMapBuilder to convert it into an interactive map by adding clickable dots, lines, popup information boxes. Please refer our user guide about Import a custom map image.

    By using custom image feature, you can convert any static images into an interactive object. The options are unlimited - you can create custom street maps, branch office maps, calendar in a matter of few clicks using our map template or your own images.   6. How is Flash different from HTML? Why should I make a map with flash?
    Image maps only supports simple click and redirect functions, Flash allows you to be more creative and add more functions to maps on website. Using Flash enables you to add zoomable areas with animation effects, clickable regions, popup messages and dynamic objects to the interactive map.
  7. Do I need to purchase Adobe Flash in order to use iMapBuilder templates?
    iMapBuilder map templates can be edited without coding. So if you do not have Adobe Flash package, you can still edit Flash maps using the iMapBuilder software.
  8. Do I need any other software to use iMapBuilder?
    If you are able to view the maps on this website, then you already have all the software you need to use iMapBuilder for creating interactive maps. For your visitors, they can view and use your map as long as their browser has Adobe Flash Player plug-in, which is pre-installed in 98%+ of browsers today.
  9. How do I get Flash player if I don't have one?
    For Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox users, it will prompts you automatically to install Adobe Flash Player. Simply follow the on-screen instructions for installation.

  12. What are the differences between iMapBuilder and FlashiMap?
    Windows users can use iMapBuilder ( Mac and LInux users can use iMapBuilder Online ( which can directly work inside b1rowser without any installation required.

    FlashiMap at is for advanced developers who prefer to edit the map directly using Adobe Flash. Source code (.fla) file are available for purchase, and can be edited using Adobe Flash for highest flexibility. It also provides XML based flash maps for programmers who prefer to update data directly into XML file.
