Google Sites Integration

One of the most innovative ways that Google Fusion Tables provides convenience for businesses is the fact that visualizations can be embedded directly into Google Sites. Google Sites is a handy (and free!) way to build an online presence and is ideal for geo-targeted needs. With Google Fusion Tables, you can simply embed the code for an embeddable visualization and then paste the code within the HTML of your Google Site.

As a note, any visualization that you want to embed in your site has to be “embeddable.” This means that it has to be both exportable and either “unlisted” or “public.” If the visualization is not unlisted or public, you cannot embed it (even if it’s your own information).

Blogger Integration

Blogging is immensely important for businesses around the world. Google Fusion Tables gives you the means to import intensity maps from Fusion Tables directly into your Blogger blog. Whether you’re creating online resources for your company employees or providing information for clients and customers, intensity maps are valuable tools that provide immense understanding via a graphical, interactive format.

To embed your intensity map through Blogger, you’ll need to set the values for the map appropriately (you’ll need a Google account as well, of course). You only need to copy the code for the intensity map from your Google Fusion Tables account and paste it into a new post on your blog. You can even add text to the post before or after the intensity map to explain the map’s purpose or point out specific information contained in it.

Importing Information

Google Fusion Tables also supports importing your data from a very wide range of programs and outlets. Currently, the program can handle .xls, .xslx, .ods, .csv, .tsv and .kml file extensions (in addition to Google Doc formats, of course).
