Detailed map of USA and Canada

I need a detailed(state) map of usa and canada together.
How much it will be without monthly payments. I mean no time limit.

For my newsletter, I am trying iMapBuilder online editor, making a detailed map of a particular rail site in Maine. The site is opaque to a newbie. I tried to send a private message to someone I thought would help, but the private message now sits in the 'outbox' with no button to hit to 'send' the message.

So, apologies, perhaps someone out there can direct this newbie, who has these questions:

Perhaps you can assist me. I am trying out iMapBuilder online for my newsletter. I need to buy mapping software, and this looks quite good. However, as usual, the system as shown on the screen is opaque and the help button of no help whatsoever.

Basic questions:

1) I can see the edges of additional buttons at the top edge of the map I am creating, but cannot move the map so I can see the buttons.

2) How do I edit lines on the map I have already created? I cannot see an 'edit' button.

3) Does a User's Guide exist with such thing as a table of contents? Radical, I know, but I am from the old-fashioned book school.

4) Should I give up and just use the Google tools? Forget any mapping software?

Our webmaster checked that the PM system works correctly. You may have it the "Save" or "Preview" button and the message will not send until you hit "Submit".
