Visibility of pinpoints and filtering

We are considering the Custom Google Map and have 2 questions we hope can
be addressed:
- after creating the map, adding pinpoints and a key, would it be
possible to turn chosen pinpoints on and off so their visibility on the map
would be optional?
- when importing the data from an excel file, is a method available to
filter the information into specific pinpoints?

1) You can use category legend to show some of the points based on different categories.

In regards to question one, is there a way to turn items in the category legend on and off as an end-user/viewer? It seems I will have no problem with this on the builder side, but is it possible to make it interactive to produce these results on the user side?

Yes, you can let your map viewers to turn on/off the objects of a category.

After login to the iMapBuilder Online, select the "GMap Editor V2" in the Start Wizard.
