Embedding Responsive Maps to Wix

Interactive HTML5 maps can be embedded to Wix in both HTML based web editor and flash based web editor. You can embed the maps into different editors according to the guide below.

Embed the Responsive maps to Wix HTML-based website builder:

  1. After creating the Responsive Maps, publish the map project and then upload the map files to the server or web hosting.
  2. In the Publishing window, check the "Use full path for the embed code" and type the URL of the HTML5 map has been saved (For example: http://www.example.com). Click Responsive Maps options if you are using Wix responsive theme.
  3. Click the Copy to Clipboard to copy the map embed code.
  4. Login to Wix > Click the Add icon in the vertical toolbar.
  5. Select Apps in the subcategory > select HTML.
  6. In the HTML Settings panel, choose HTML code in the Mode' s drop down box.
  7. Paste the map embed code from the HTML 5 map builder into the HTML / embed code box
    * Remember the full path embed code is required
  8. Click Update to continue.
  9. Adjust the position and size of the embedded map by dragging the embed frame.
  10. Click the Preview or Publish to preview or publish the wix web page with the embedded interactive map.

Embed the Interactive maps to Wix flash-based website builder:

  1. After creating the Interactive Maps, publish the map project and then upload the map files to the server or web hosting.
  2. In the Publishing window, check the "Use full path for the embed code" and type the URL of the Interactive map has been saved (For example: http://www.wix.com).
  3. Click the Copy to Clipboard to copy the map embed code.
  4. Login to Wix > Open your project and go into the Editor page.
  5. Select Add in the vertical toolbar > Widgets > HTML > Blank HTML

  6. Highlight the "HTML" object.
  7. Click Settings in the HTML Widget panel.
  8. Paste the HTML5 map embed code into the content box

  9. You can set the width / height of the HTML Widget area if necessary
  10. Click OK
  11. Publish the website to view the embedded interactive HTML5 map.
    (Publish the website is required to preview the map)
