Add Markers by Cities

You can now pin location of major cities without knowing their exact latitude and longitude values.

Add Markers by Cities

Follow our video tutorial to easily add cities on the map.

Procedure

  1. Click the Add Markers by Cities icon on the vertical toolbar.
  2. Select a country or region from the top drop down list.
  3. Select the cities you want to add from the location list below. You can enter partial name of the cities and it would try to match and jump to the first entry that matches your name. You can select multiple cities at one time in the following way:
    • Select the first city in the list, and hold down the Shift key and select the last city. All cities between the first and the last cities will be selected.
    • Hold down the Ctrl key and select those cities you want to add from the list.
  4. Click Add to List and the cities will be added to the waiting list on the right hand side.
  5. You can add cities of another country or region by repeating steps 2-4 above.
  6. You can also add cities by manually input latitude and longitude values if cities are not in our list.
  7. To delete a city from the waiting list, select the city and hit the Delete button just above the waiting list.
  8. Adjust the marker icon and its size as follows:
    1. Click the icon to open the Select Icon dialog.
    2. Choose from the default set of icons, or import your own by choosing the Import Icons button to the bottom left. PNG and JPG images are supported as custom icons, and all imported images are listed under (Custom Icons) in the dialog.
    3. Select the width and height of the icon from the drop down box, or enter your desired values in those boxes.
  9. Change the marker label settings as follows:
    1. Tick the checkbox if you want to show the city name next to the marker.
    2. Choose the position of the label. Possible options are:
      • Top
      • Bottom
      • Left
      • Right
      • Center - Label text will overlap the marker icon.
    3. Change font and color style of marker label
  10. Tick the checkbox under Infobox Setting if you want to show the city name of a marker in the popup infobox.
  11. Click Process and it will start populating the cities on the map.
  12. To further manage the markers added onto the map, please go to Marker Properties Panel.
